All Progressives Congress (APC) Rally in Lagos

Three journalists were shot early in January and sustained injuries while covering the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally organised for the Lagos State governorship candidate of the party, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Skypower field in Ikeja, Lagos.

Among the journalists who were hit by bullets were the group political editor of Nation newspaper, Emmanuel Oladesu; New Telegraph correspondent, Temitope Ogunbanke and Ibile Television cameraman, Abiodun Yusuf.

Suspected rival groups of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) attacked each other at the rally ground where the journalists fell victims.
